Bug / Crash Rod dynamic attachment is broken

I am also having significant issues that are related to the same thing (see thread 4531). I tried adding inner control points and attaching these to the object as reccomended, and that sometimes works, but there are cases when the rod has an immediate 180 rotation at the location of the inner control point. Additional control points also causes other issues, such as strange torsion and movement between the close control points. 

I would appreciate it if once you have reviewed Qriva's scene you could comment your findings here for me also, or if you need further information. This is quite frustrating and holding my project up.
