The Limitation of Using Obi System Only as a Child of the Solver Is Meaningless - twocomet - 01-09-2025 Hello, A structural limitation of the current Obi system is that it must be placed as a child of the solver. If each solver were simply given a name, and actors could specify which solver to use by name, the system would become much more versatile. Please check the attached video. RE: The Limitation of Using Obi System Only as a Child of the Solver Is Meaningless - josemendez - 01-09-2025 Hi, That would be a really bad design choice, and quite limiting as it doesn’t allow for a proper inertial frame of reference implementation - which is central to how Obi works - or local space simulation without many edge cases which are detrimental to performance. It’s how Obi 1.0 used to work (instead of a name, actors had a *reference* to an arbitrary solver), we but quickly moved on from it.
