Gotcha! I found the issue in my scene and it was my oversight.
If you enforce letterbox aspect ratio through some old script like Auto Letterbox (discontinued in AssetStore), you'll got this distortion.
There is no need to adjust aspect ratio in VR, of course.
If anyone else encounters that, check that you didn't mess up camera viewport.
