Obi Softbody not rendering when model has rig.

I have a character that I would like to add softbody physics to.
I followed the Character Softbodies tutorial, (http://obi.virtualmethodstudio.com/manua...tbody.html). However, the character mesh would not render until I set it's "rig" import setting to None.
After that, the character could be skinned to a softbody, and it simulated just fine.

Obviously, this is not ideal because I need to animate the character. What could be the issue here?

Hi Biff,

Hard to say without taking a look at how you've set up the character softbody.

- Did you select the skeleton root bone in the softbody blueprint editor?
- Do skeleton particles show up correctly in the softbody blueprint editor?

I did select a skeleton root bone in the blueprint editor. The skeleton itself shows up as lines when I enable its rendering option. However, when I click "Generate", no particles are generated at all and the Unity console starts to spam errors. (I would post an image but it won't let me.)
Unity is version 2022.3.4f1
Obi Softbody is 6.5.2
I wasnt aware I needed bone + muscle/fat particles, I'm just trying to have selective soft body physics on a character (like the rubber arms demo). 1

Could you just copy/paste the error text (instead of a screenshot)?

Since you mentioned there were problems when importing a rig, I assumed you were going for a full-body softbody setup. You can generate a blueprint out of the mesh only, and it should still work fine.

That's strange, I'm unable to reproduce this issue. Seems like the editor's GUI state is broken. Do you have any other installed assets that modify/work with the editor's UI?

You could you try resetting the editor layout: Window->Layouts->Reset All Layouts.

If this fails, would it be possible to send your project over to support(at)virtualmethodstudio.com so that I can take a closer look? thanks!

I've emailed a link to download the project to the provided address. I don't have anything else in this project other than what comes with the standard 3D template, the requirements for Obi Softbody (Burst, Mathematics, Jobs, Collections), and my character model.

I've definitely sent it, maybe it got caught in the spam filter? I couldn't post images last time because it said my email was a spam domain.

Double checked and checked the spam folder as well, but seems we didn’t receive it.

Just to make sure, you did use the “@“ character in place of “(at)” in the address right?

try hello(at)virtualmethodstudio.com as well, in case the support one isn’t working for some reason.
