Doesn't work properly in 2019?

I'm on 2019.17 and this is the default behavior for a fresh project with Obi SoftBody imported:

Latest Obi version requires 2019.3.10 or higher, as clearly stated in the store. Unity changed the way meshes are serialized in 2019.1 (vertex ordering was different), so the sample scenes won't work properly in older versions.

Sorry, I meant I'm on 2019.4.17! So that's above 2019.3.10.

Tried 2019.4.2 and 2020.1.4, both the simulation and skinning look perfectly fine and the spheres are smooth in both versions.

I assume you're using the latest Obi version in the store? (5.6.2)
Have you upgraded from an older Unity/Obi version?

Edit: Just tested 2019.4.17 (exact same version you're using) but still can't reproduce this.

Ah, I was fooled by package manager. I wrongly assumed that it would display data about the currently downloaded package, and I wrongly assumed it would let you update package if installed one was was outdated.

This is what it looks like to me:

Kinda makes you think the installed version was the latest, but actually it was far older.

I updated from asset store instead and now it works.

Sorry for taking your time!
