Updated Resources?
#1
Corazón
I've been trying to familiarize myself with the product but I've found that a few of the videos don't even seem to represent the product as it currently stands nor offers much understanding of it as the differences between the versions seem vast.

Videos like:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yEYQyiQN...4&index=14
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaPLXvyi...r4&index=6

For instance, the slime does not seem relevant at all with the way the particle selector and dragging seems to work.

I mean no disrespect at all nor think that this reflects anything negative, but I was wondering if we could get some new resources. It really is a great system but it has a vast learning curve and when resources span versions, 2, 3, 4 and we seem to be on five, it becomes a little confusing. When using such products on contractual projects and not personal projects, time is of the essence is terms of quickly grasping how to accomplish basic feats that combine to form a skill set and understanding of workflow and paradigms.

Thank you very much for reading, I hope you consider!

Hi there!

We're currently making a series of up-to-date (v 5.0) video tutorials:
http://obi.virtualmethodstudio.com/forum...p?tid=1493

More in the oven right now.
We will also gradually get rid of old videos to make things less confusing.

Also, the written manual (there's currently two versions, 5.0 and 4.X) goes pretty in depth about architecture and internals:
http://obi.virtualmethodstudio.com/tutor...cture.html
http://obi.virtualmethodstudio.com/tutor...gence.html

kind regards,

Thank you very much, Jose. Sorry for the delay in response, just got done moving physical locations. You've got a great product. I look forward to the up to date videos! Thanks for the links, as well.
