Obi skinned cloth is weirdly deformed

I run into trouble with skinned cloth on my character. 

In scene preview it looks ok, but as soon as I hit play and see it with Obi cloth on it looks weird to me (sort of deformed, see pics). Its quite obvious when I assign to it a material with pattern.

Any hint to what's going on?
