This simulator describes the dynamics of an LHD with a trailing cable. In the simulator, both manual input/output of the cable and a fully automatic mode are handled, which controls the winch motor based on the cable's tension.

I got some complaints on LinkedIN about the dynamics in the heavy cable that behaved more like a rope so I adjusted the parameters to make it more realistic.
I think the OBI assets are great when it comes to parametrization, people have to remember that this is just a conceptual demo of a new potential method for decision support of the mine layout and placement of the electric base stations and I think that goal is reached and surpassed.
