Performance on mobile. - hecali_aj - 05-03-2019 Hello! I'm very interested in buying the product. As of now I only own Obi Cloth. How is the performance on mobile devices? Can multiple simple (cube or sphere) softbody objects run smoothly? RE: Performance on mobile. - josemendez - 05-03-2019 (05-03-2019, 01:49 PM)hecali_aj Wrote: Hello! Hi, Obi performs quite good on all platforms, as it is fully multithreaded and makes heavy use of SIMD. Performance highly depends on the resolution you need your soft bodies to have (how detailed you want their deformation to be) and what you need them to do (amount of objects you want them to collide with, how much inter collisions will be going on, etc). Generally speaking, 2000-2500 particles will run smoothly in most mobile devices. So if you can get away with 50 particles per softbody, that means you'd be able to run roughly 50 softbodies simultaneously on screen. |
