Could you help me? how to config this - jirawatball - 06-02-2019

I'm doing crane simulator and found a problem with the setting. An uncontrolable swing occured (as the attached vdo). Could you help me?

Huh

Hi,

It's pretty much impossible to tell what's happening without taking a look at the setup. Assuming you're using pin constraints to attach the box to the crane hook, first thing that comes to mind is the offset of the pin constraints could be wrong. If you can describe your setup in more detail we might be able to help.

Hi there,

Nothing wrong there, except maybe 300 distance constraint iterations are a tad too much.

Double check that the particles near the cube have the same phase value as the cube's ObiCollider, else they will collide with it and fight with the pin constraints.

I fix distance constraint 300 to 3 but can't solve.
In Obicollider is phase is 0

I think something is squeezing it

I don't know what is keeping pushing it where it belong

I Change Thickness to -0.05. It can solve this problem Thank for your help

Hi there,

You could as well have set the particle's phase to 0, the same phase as the collider. Thing is that the collider and the particle that's pinned very close to the collider must not collide with each other.

cheers,
