DAZ3D Setup Manual - AnriCZ - 19-03-2018

Can you make video manual how to setup Obi with DAZ3D model and clothes?

RE: DAZ3D - AnriCZ - 27-03-2018

So, what about manual?
Before buy your product, I asked you about compatibility with DAZ and answer was YES. But I cant make it work correctly. Clothes is or too elastic or too wooden.

Hi there!

If the cloth is too elastic:
- Increase the amount of distance constraint iterations (in ObiSolver)
- Increase the amount of solver substeps.
- Decrease the physics timestep.

If the cloth is too "wooden" (I assume you mean it is too rigid and doesn't bend)
- Increase the max bending parameter of bend constraints, or decrease their stiffness (depending on what look you're after).
- Decrease the amount of bending constraint iterations (in ObiSolver)

This is all explained in the manual:

http://obi.virtualmethodstudio.com/tutorials/obisolver.html

cheers!

josemendez I was wondering if I buy a dress for female g8 https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-summer-dress-venice-for-genesis-8-females
and a cape https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-the-count-outfit-for-genesis-8-males and send it to you as a gift could you make a video of how to get daz3d or Iclone models cloth physics to work in unity3d?

Hi there,

Sure, but only once Obi 5.0 is out (in a week and a half or so). The workflow is completely different compared to 4.x, and since I'm going to make some tutorial videos, I'd prefer doing them for the latest version.

kind regards
