Rope twitching when torquing - roberthey - 29-06-2022

Hi!

Goal: I want to tie the rope around some pillars and torque it as much as possible. However the rope starts twitching.

Here is a video. You can see the rope twitching eventhough plenty of rope is left. If project files are requested I am happy to share.

Hi Robert,

I assume you're using surface collisions, right? Increase the "surface collision tolerance" in the ObiSolver, a value like 0.1 - 0.15 should yield good results. You can also try using a few more substeps to increase collision quality.

kind regards,
