Use Obi Rope for things like Liana's? - IlseMul - 15-11-2021

Hi,

I bought Obi Rope today. I think there are a lot of things I can use it for in my game Sonrisa

One of the things I wondered about it Liana's. I only found an old thread from a year ago, but the OP never answered.

Would it be possible to make liana's with Obi Rope? #curious

Thanks for the help!

Yes, you can just detect when a character is touching/close to the rope (using contact callbacks or spatial queries, see the manual:
http://obi.virtualmethodstudio.com/manual/6.2/scriptingcollisions.html
http://obi.virtualmethodstudio.com/manual/6.2/scriptingqueries.html)

then add an attachment/pin constraint.

Thanks Jose! I'll look into it some more later this week. It'll be super handy if I can use Obi Rope for the Liana's and have a look for it as well Sonrisa A fun challenge. So much to learn! But I'm looking forward to it!
