Wind not working - jaripam - 18-04-2021 Hey, ye, it's me again but I'm desperately trying to get wind on my flag as shown in the Tutorial Video. I did exactly the same but the wind just does not blow. I tried to randomly modify everything but no difference. Maybe a hint: My flag wont move at all until I add some "Distance Contrains" in the Inspector. In the Video this wasn't neccessary for the flag to move. I couldn't find a Video or Thread so I'm wondering if I am missing something very simple. That's all there is to it, it should just work. Let me know if you still have problems. Quote:Maybe a hint: My flag wont move at all until I add some "Distance Contrains" in the Inspector. In the Video this wasn't neccessary for the flag to move. Distance constraints should always be enabled for cloth since that's what makes it behave like well, cloth. They're always enabled by default when you create a cloth. I paid close attention to have all the same settings as in the Video (except there are a few more now since the updates). When I set everything up and click play, the flag just shakes very little (like 3 seconds) and then stops and nothing happens anymore. After I disable distance constraints, it works but with strange behaviour. I can enable them after that, and it works as it should. But it does not work right away, I have to click them off/on in play mode. Unless your solver's sleep threshold is too high for your time settings, the simulation should not stop anytime. |
