Minimum requirement for PC spec - Brook - 01-09-2017 Hi, I would like to know that what is the minimum requirement for PC spec that will achieve the 60 fps, the test case will be just a simple water pouring from one glass to another glass. It depends a lot on: - The resolution you wish your fluid to have, in particles per volume unit. Higher resolutions require more computing power. - The timestep requirements of your simulation. Lower time steps require more computing power. - How incompressible you want your fluid to be. Enforcing high incompressibility requires more computing power. As a rough guideline, a Quad-Core i7 CPU can simulate around 7000 particles at 60 fps, using a timestep of 0.02 ms and 4 density iterations to enforce incompressibility. |
